Hibiscus Leaf Caterpillar Moth

There are plenty of hibiscus and rose of sharon plants around the yard for this species.

This is an interestingly dark-colored (melanomic) specimen; most of the reference photos we've found show this fellow as a burnt-orange color. A specimen in the more common colors is shown next.
