Hummingbird Clearwing

These moths are in the family of hawk or sphinx moths. They fly during the day and can be found feeding with the butterflies. They're not easy to photograph since they dart about and hover like hummingbirds at their chosen nectar flowers.

Sphinx moth caterpillars get quite large and resemble the tomato hornworms you may occasionally find in the vegetable garden.
