Bent-Line Carpet Moth

This species comes in a variety of colors from strong to washed-out.

We were fortunate to find this moth resting on the glass of a patio storm door one night, so there was a chance to photograph both the upper surface and the underside.

Host plants: low-growing weedy types such as smartweed and knotweed. Alas, some weeds always seem to invade our gardens.
