Red Twin-Spot

This beautifully-patterned carpet moth was resting quietly on the stone facade on our house.

It is very similar to the Toothed Brown Carpet Moth.

Red Twin-Spot larva favor low plants such as ground ivy or chickweed. Food plants for the Toothed Brown include impatiens. So, we have host plants for both.
