Large Maple Spanworm Moth


This fellow looks quite a bit like the curve-toothed geometer, but looks nothing like the lesser maple spanworm.

These are very common moths, feeding not only on maple, oak and walnut trees, but also on the blueberries and geraniums we have around the yard. This one settled on a storm door one evening.
