White Slant-Line

White. One tan line across the forewings. Says it all, doesn't it?

Unlike the fussier lepidoptera such as the monarchs, which will only eat milkweeds, the larva of this elegantly simple moth has a varied diet of trees and shrubs: ash, birch, cherry, elm, maple, oak, pine, willows are all found in this area. Maybe it would be quicker to list the things it doesn't eat?
