Yellow Bear (Virginian Tiger Moth)

This cocoon was formed on 7/5/03. The fuzzy yellow bear caterpillar is now a pupa, wrapped comfortably inside a loose ball of the cherry leaves it had been feeding upon, and its cast-off hairs.
