Monarch

This monarch is ready to emerge from the chrysalis very soon.

In this photo, the head is at the bottom with the antennae running up the casing on the left-hand side.

The newly-emerged butterfly will turn around and hang from the empty chrysalis to expand and stiffen its wings.
